Pre-production
Rick & Morty meets Southpark
A wizard with audacity, a psychic with regrets, and an alien pig with crypto slice and hex their way through 2D dimensions in pursuit of Dr. Apples’ kidnapped mother  --but not really. they are extremely distracted.
Papercuts is a paper-crafted animated web series built on fast absurdity, visual invention, and a world where every fold, crease, and cut can become a joke, a threat, or a portal.
OVERVIEW
Dr. Apples: Papercuts is an episodic animated web series set inside a one-of-a-kind paper multiverse, where Dr. Apples’ blend of magic and science sends the story crashing through strange worlds, visual gags, and escalating chaos. The series mixes fantasy, comedy, and sci-fi with a deliberately playful visual style that turns paper itself into part of the joke.
Every episode opens a new dimension, a new disaster, or a new clue in Dr. Apples’ larger search for his missing mother. The world stays light on its feet, but the engine underneath is real: pursuit, mystery, momentum, and a cast built to collide.
LOGLINE
A wizard with audacity, a psychic with regrets, and an alien pig with crypto slice and hex their way through 2D dimensions, all in pursuit of his kidnapped mother.
TONE & STYLE
The current tone lands somewhere between Robot Chicken and Adventure Time, filtered through a paper-crafted multiverse of visual gags, magical nonsense, and fast-moving absurdity. It is playful, weird, stylized, and built to pivot quickly between charm and chaos.
Visually, the series leans into a simplified 2D paper stop-motion illusion, with expressive faces, cutout energy, and a deliberately crafted handmade look. The art style is part of the hook: deceptively cute, flexible, and ready to support much sharper comedy as the series evolves.
This is not generic adult animation. Papercuts is built around a paper universe where every environment can bend, fold, tear, reveal, or misbehave. The simplified character style gives the project a distinct identity while leaving room for bolder expression, stranger worlds, and more aggressive comedic escalation later.
